The founding beliefs of Heys Stress and Wellbeing Management are:

1. Stress is a natural and normal reaction to seemingly overwhelming pressures, demands and challenges, and so should not be seen as something to be stigmatised.

2. However, stress is not the best way to deal with seemingly overwhelming pressures, demands and challenges and demands.

3. Individuals can learn how to manage their reactions to seemingly overwhelming pressures, demands and challenges in order to reduce stress.

4. Organisations have a duty of care to their employees to reduce work related stress and help them cope with the demands, pressures and challenges of their jobs; good management is key to this.

Workshops on Communication, Resilience, Time Management and Relaxation are available here.

Welcome to Heys Stress and Wellbeing Management. We work with individuals and organisations to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. We enable individuals to identify and develop strategies to help them cope with the demands and pressures of modern day living.  We help organisations ensure they are providing effective and robust stress and wellbeing management strategies.

In order to be able to reduce stress and increase wellbeing, both at an individual and organisational level, it is necessary to understand what stress is, what might cause it and what the effects of stress might be. Only then is it possibleto tackle it and find ways of reducing stress levels and increasing wellbeing levels.

Our work with individuals is based on our PEACE model, which looks at five aspects of stress and its effects on humans - Physical effects, Emotional effects, the Actions people portray when they are stressed, the Cognitions (or thoughts) which sometimes drive stress, and the effects which are External to the individual (relationships, standard of work etc). We help the individual find more realistic, helpful ways of dealing with potential stressors.

Legal -  ensuring the company is compliant with Health and Safety legislation in the area of work related stress, and other legislation such as the Equality Act, Working Time Regulations and Common Law requirements.

Public image – recognising the positive public image a company can gain from ensuring it is looking after the wellbeing of its employees
